Jeff Crocker has practiced law with the firm in his
home town of Jaffrey since 1979 with an emphasis upon representing individuals,
business organizations and financial institutions in the fields of estate
planning, residential and commercial real estate transactions, and business
law.
In the field of estate planning, Jeff assists individuals and
families in the planning process to provide for an orderly and efficient
distribution of assets following death, maximizing family inheritance by
minimizing taxes and administration expenses, and avoiding probate court
supervision of the settlement of your estate to the extent advisable, and to
provide for management of your assets during your lifetime if you become
incapable. Jeff is experienced in the
preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives and
related planning documents to meet these objectives. Jeff also represents individuals and families
in the estate settlement process itself, including the process of probate
administration and private trust settlement.
In the field of real estate law, Jeff is experienced in
advising, assisting and representing individual, business and institutional
clients with all aspects of residential and commercial real estate transactions
including the representation of sellers, purchasers and lenders, and the
drafting of documents such as purchase and sale agreements, deeds, and
financing instruments.
Jeff’s experience includes involvement in many aspects of
business law including formation and organization of business entities, sales
and acquisitions, and financing transactions.
A lifelong resident of the Monadnock region, Jeff has served
as a member and director on numerous professional, governmental and non-profit
boards. Currently, Jeff serves on the
Peterborough Economic Development Authority and as Chair of the Monadnock
Region Board of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. He is a former Board Member and Board Chair
of the Monadnock Community Hospital, Board Member of TEAM Jaffrey, Member and
Chair of the Peterborough Planning Board, Chair of the New Hampshire Department
of Employment Security Appellate Board, and Member of the New Hampshire Bar
Association Ethics Committee.
Jeff is the author of the “Deeds” Chapter of A Practical
Guide to Residential Real Estate Transactions and Foreclosures in New
Hampshire, a practice manual for New Hampshire attorneys published by MCLE/New
England. He is a member of the New
Hampshire Estate Planning Council.
Jeff grew up in Jaffrey, New Hampshire and now resides in
Peterborough, New Hampshire with his family.
He graduated from the University of New Hampshire, cum laude, in 1975,
with a B.A. degree in political science and a minor in sociology, and from
Franklin Pierce Law Center (now the University of New Hampshire School of Law)
in 1979.
